About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Behavioral Therapist to join our team at Sunnyhill. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing behavior intervention plans to support individuals with autism and related developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Behavior Intervention Plans
    • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, educators, and other team members to develop comprehensive behavior intervention plans that address the unique needs of each individual.
    • Conduct competency-based training on behavior plans, skill acquisition programming, and other behavior change procedures for behavioral personal care attendants, parents, and other team members.
  • Conduct Skills Assessments and Data Analysis
    • Conduct skills assessments to determine programming needs and treatment recommendations.
    • Analyze data to inform behavior intervention plans and make recommendations for program modifications.
  • Provide Direct Supervision and Training
    • Provide direct supervision to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and Behavioral Personal Assistants (BPAs).
    • Train and mentor team members on behavior change procedures and data analysis.
  • Communicate Effectively and Collaborate with Team Members
    • Communicate regularly with BCBA, BPA, administration, parents, caregivers, and other team members to ensure seamless collaboration and coordination of services.
    • Attend client-centered meetings (IEPs, ISPs, FSTs) as appropriate.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or related field.
    • National Board Certification as an Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA).
    • Licensure as an Assistant Behavior Analyst in the state of Missouri (or meets the eligibility criteria for licensure).
    • Minimum 1 year experience providing services to individuals with autism and/or other developmental disabilities.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong clinical background in administering verbal behavior assessments, conducting language, play, and skill-based assessments, and designing, implementing, and/or training others using individualized language, play, and skill-based curricula.
    • Experience with collecting, graphing, analyzing, displaying, and discussing data-based progress.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and function well in a high-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Able to stand, walk, and sit for four hours at a time.
  • Repetitive bending and reaching up to two hours a day.
  • Able to lift 25 pounds from floor to waist.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $54,600 - $76,450, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
