Job Title: Advisor Project Manager

At the Naval Nuclear Laboratory, we are seeking a highly skilled Advisor Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing projects or programs with multiple integrated projects, including defining, planning, and ensuring execution of all tasks necessary to meet project objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage projects or programs with multiple integrated projects, including defining, planning, and ensuring execution of all tasks necessary to meet project objectives.
  • Create and maintain the project team infrastructure.
  • Obtain necessary resources to staff and support the project.
  • Define project scope and work breakdown structure.
  • Develop cost estimates and resource-loaded schedules.
  • Evaluate change requests and approve or reject as appropriate.
  • Manage overall costs versus budget.
  • Manage subcontracted relationships.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Interface with and integrate the efforts of stakeholders.
  • Support personnel and line management to ensure project objectives are achieved.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Good understanding of Project Management Metrics (e.g., SPI, CPI, EV, etc.).
  • P6 knowledge.
  • Communication and Team Building.
  • Management of Construction Contracts.
  • Experience with Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management (EPCM) type contracts.
