Job Description:

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to the Program Subcontractor, working directly with Program Managers, stakeholders, and system owners to track project progress, and participating in planning, development, management, and closeout of tasks assigned to the Program Subcontractor.

Responsibilities:

  • Acts as the support interface between NNL and the Program Subcontractor
  • Works directly with NNL Program Managers, stakeholders & system owners to properly track project progress of work for the Program Subcontractor
  • Participates in planning, development, management, and closeout of tasks assigned to the Program Subcontractor
  • Ensures the Program Subcontractor is tracking within project cost estimates, and schedules
  • Interfaces with NNL project engineers and system owners to resolve technical issues or questions with the tasks

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 6 years of relevant experience
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 4 years of relevant experience
  • Currently or previously Shift Supervisor Part I qualified
  • EDO qualified and 2 years EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program
  • 3 years SRE qualified and Water Instructor and Refueling Facility Area Refueling Engineer and Fuel and Barrier Shift Supervisor (ECF only)
  • SRE qualified and 6 years of experience

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous or current Project Management experience
  • Previous or current Project Analyst experience
  • Experience with technical writing
  • Experience with cost estimating

Pay Range:

$92, $145,200.00 annually
