Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Logistics Operator to join our team at Bioenergy Development Group LLC. As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient loading and unloading of trucks, railcars, and other vehicles or material containers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, start up, operate, or shut down logistics equipment in accordance with documented operating procedures.
  • Validate driver's paperwork, including weight tickets, and complete required paperwork.
  • Complete logistics operating work tasks in alignment with priorities set by Shift Supervisor, Production Manager, and Logistics Manager.
  • Monitor loading/unloading areas to prevent materials from overflowing.
  • Report loading/unloading deviations or concerns to production shift supervisor/production manager.
  • Comply with regulatory, company policies, and procedures, including safety protocols.
  • Ensure lines and valves are properly set up before loading.
  • Perform Job Cycle Checks (JCCs) to confirm procedure content reflects operating practice.
  • Troubleshoot problems associated with receiving tank level information.
  • Train other operators in loading/unloading work tasks and activities.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and loading/unloading areas.
  • Possess practical knowledge of BQ 9000 concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Understand Bioenergy Quality Policy and dedication to providing quality products that meet customer needs.
  • May serve on an Employee Safety (Involvement) Committee.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • At least 1 to 3 years of logistics plant work experience or closely similar industrial plant manufacturing setting.
  • Strong trouble shooting and problem solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to walk for prolonged periods.
  • Able to work on multi-levels.
  • Able to climb straight ladders.
  • Able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Candidates must have experience moving liquids to be considered.
  • Experience with tanker trucks and/or rail cars required.
Additional Information

This is a full-time position that reports to the Logistics Manager. The work schedule for this position is 12-hour fixed shifts. This role may be required to work overtime hours outside regular shift schedule to support non-routine work and plant turnarounds. The Memphis biodiesel manufacturing plant operates on a 7-day, 24-hour schedule.
