Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of civil construction projects, including water/wastewater facilities, pump stations, and pipelines, to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
  • Mentor and supervise junior field staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Collaborate with other field representatives, inspectors, and project managers to ensure seamless project execution and high-quality results.
  • Review and interpret construction drawings and specifications, identifying discrepancies or conflicts and taking corrective action as needed.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Serve as the senior inspector on projects as needed, providing leadership and guidance to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the successful delivery of projects.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10 or more years of experience in infrastructure construction projects, with a strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.
  • Technical school or associate degree in a relevant field, such as civil engineering or construction management.
  • Relevant industry certifications, such as OSHA or API.
  • Ability to interpret construction schedules and contract documents, including plans and specifications.
  • Experience in trenchless pipeline installations, including jack and bore or micro-tunneling boring machine (MTBM) operations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise reports and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screening and be subject to random and cause drug and alcohol testing.
