Job Summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a seasoned Heavy Civil Construction Program Manager to lead our team in delivering complex infrastructure projects. As a key member of our program management team, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple aspects of our projects, including risk management, contract negotiations, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement project plans, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery
  • Manage and mitigate risks associated with fixed-price, upper-limit-price, and new-technology projects
  • Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, including project managers, subject matter experts, and project administrators
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and objectives
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation plans
Requirements
  • 9+ years of experience in senior project and/or program management roles, with a focus on heavy civil construction
  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in program management, with a focus on heavy civil construction
  • 15+ years of experience in large public works capital infrastructure projects and/or programs
  • Knowledge of delivering heavy civil projects from design through construction, as well as familiarity with environmental and permit compliance
Work Environment

This position requires working in a typical construction site environment, with exposure to varying temperatures, inclement weather, and hazardous equipment. The successful candidate will be required to work in cramped work spaces, get into awkward positions, and work at heights.
