Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Prevention Education and Program Manager to join our team at InsideHigherEd. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive prevention education programs to promote a culture of safety and respect on our campus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement 1-year, 3-year, and 5-year strategies for prevention education on campus, including facilitating and leading trainings for student groups and organizations.
  • Supervise student Programming Assistants (Peer Advocates) to meet office objectives and enhance student learning goals.
  • Consult on, develop, implement, and evaluate training and programming based on assessment of community needs, using a data-informed approach.
  • Oversight of departmental programming and student salary budgets, representing Project SAFE in meetings and events as needed.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, communication, educational programming, or a related field.
  • Completion of state certification in sexual assault crisis counselor and domestic violence advocate training.
  • Three years of progressively responsible experience developing and executing training strategies in the prevention of sexual and interpersonal violence.
  • Demonstrated experience working with college-aged populations, managing budgets, and participating in strategic planning.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience, understanding of trauma-informed care, empowerment-based advocacy, and a social justice model-based understanding of violence and consent.
Preferred Qualifications

A Master's degree in student development, social work, public health, or equivalent, with five years of progressively responsible experience developing and executing training strategies in the prevention of sexual and interpersonal violence, and experience working in a college/university setting.
