GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

  • Welcoming patients as they arrive
  • Executing patient check-in protocols
  • Updating and maintaining accurate demographic and insurance details in the system and patient records
  • Conducting office opening tasks, managing petty cash, collecting co-pays and co-insurance, and providing assistance to patients as required
  • Primary responsibility is to assist patients in the reception area while also providing support for phone inquiries and other front office staff

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma with 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Familiarity with clinic policies and operational procedures
  • Proficient in computer systems and software applications
  • Understanding of medical terminology
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Demonstrated compassion and kindness towards patients in person and over the phone
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and positive attitude
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent customer service abilities
  • Capability to collaborate effectively with medical personnel, management, authorizations, external organizations, and patients
  • Physical ability to sit and stand as required in a typical office environment
  • Experience in a busy office atmosphere with frequent patient interaction
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends
