Position Summary:

Under the guidance of the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Manager, the Facility Maintenance Attendant is tasked with ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of the resort's grounds and specific equipment. This role requires the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision, relying on sound judgment to execute job responsibilities effectively.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Uphold the values, expectations, policies, and procedures of Grand Pacific Resorts as detailed in the Employee Handbook.
  • Organize and prioritize work tasks efficiently.
  • Collaborate with maintenance personnel to maintain a clean and orderly maintenance area.
  • Conduct inspections, cleaning, and repairs of area heaters.
  • Ensure all BBQs are inspected, cleaned, and functioning properly.
  • Maintain gas and propane fire pits through regular inspections and repairs.
  • Oversee the upkeep of pool area furnishings, including chairs, tables, and hammocks.
  • Perform power washing of walkways and pool decks as necessary.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure the resort remains clean and free of debris.
  • Work alongside maintenance technicians on service requests and special projects.
  • Maintain a keen attention to detail to ensure equipment safety for guests and staff.
  • Contribute to enhancing guest satisfaction scores.
  • Assist with additional tasks or special projects as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Conduct all responsibilities in a professional and ethical manner.
  • Maintain a consistent and reliable attendance record.
  • Adhere to performance standards and company policies relevant to the department.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, thorough, and professional, consistently delivering exceptional customer service to guests, owners, management, and colleagues.

  • Valid Driver's License is required.
  • Strong customer service orientation, results-driven, and adept at problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills with guests, peers, and associates.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with urgency while maintaining quality.
  • Proficient in reading and writing.
  • Experience in the hospitality sector (time share experience preferred).
  • Ability to thrive in a diverse team environment.

Additional Requirements:
  • Availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must successfully pass relevant skill assessments, background checks, physical examinations, and drug screenings.
  • Proficiency in speaking and understanding the English language.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours.
  • Capability to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as needed.
  • Frequent lifting/moving of up to 25 pounds; occasional lifting/moving of up to 50 pounds.
  • Clear vision (close, distant, and depth perception) is essential for navigating the resort.
