Facilities Maintenance Role

The Facilities Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks in a manufacturing environment that includes assembly, machining, sheet metal, welding, and powder coating. This role requires a proactive approach to predictive, preventive, and reactive maintenance, as well as strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and repair various systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and perform predictive, preventive, and reactive maintenance.
  • Use diagnostic tools, equipment, and methods to troubleshoot and repair machinery.
  • Document and maintain appropriate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems for equipment requiring reactive maintenance.
  • Install new equipment and systems, including electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, and pneumatic hookups.
  • Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs.
  • Plan repair work using building blueprints or equipment manuals as needed.
  • Perform general repairs that do not require a specialized technician, such as repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures.
  • Clean and assist with the upkeep of the facilities.
  • Order supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
  • Install racking systems to utilize maximum space.
  • Clear clogged drains and replace plumbing fixtures.
  • Perform general cleaning and other tasks as assigned.
  • Identify necessary parts and supplies needed for repairs and maintenance activities in a timely manner, submitting purchase requisitions as necessary to procure needed items.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in repair and maintenance of facilities, including carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical maintenance.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and current vehicle insurance.
  • Forklift Experience.
