Job Title: General Manager

Self Storage Plus is seeking a highly motivated and organized General Manager to join our team in Lorton, Virginia. As a General Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management, leasing, and maintenance of our Storage facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage all elements of property operations, including leasing, marketing, customer relations, rent collection, maintenance, and financial reporting.
  • Meet with prospective customers to show properties, explain terms of occupancy, and provide information about local areas.
  • Implement policies and procedures to maximize efficiency, minimize costs, and ensure a positive tenant experience.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, complaints, and emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
  • Conduct regular property inspections and ensure that all safety and security requirements are met.
Requirements:
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with internal and external customers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze different solutions and find the best course of action.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Experience with electronic calendars, such as Microsoft Outlook or Teams, and the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Strong sales aptitude, with the ability to understand and present the amenities of our Storage facilities.
