The Senior Crypto Solutions Architect will play a pivotal role in defining, decomposing, allocating, assessing, and implementing cryptographic requirements into a robust system architecture, ensuring a cyber-resilient security design for our platforms.

This position involves active participation in working groups, design reviews, and formal evaluations alongside other Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), providing essential crypto expertise to integrate cybersecurity considerations early in the product development lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical leadership in the development of hardware products, including Type 1, NCDSMO, and CSfC solutions.

Proficiency in architecting security protocols and standards relevant to embedded systems (such as secure boot, encryption, authentication, and secure communication) is essential.

Collaboration with both software and hardware design engineers will be crucial to ensure that all requirements meet certification standards.

This role will also involve aligning technical execution with various Model-Based System Engineering initiatives.

Additionally, the candidate will provide insights during technical baseline and design reviews, showcasing expertise in developing and implementing robust security architectures and protocols.

The successful applicant will possess excellent communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, and will thrive in a collaborative engineering environment that fosters mission-oriented goals, task planning, and prioritization.

Essential Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Security, or Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.

- Proven experience in Systems Engineering.

- Background in System and/or Security Architecture.

Preferred Skills

- Familiarity with Joint Special Access Program (SAP) Implementation Guide (JSIG), Committee on National Security Systems Instruction (CNSSI) 1253, and NIST SP Risk Management Framework (RMF) for designing secure information systems.

- Strong understanding of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) for complex system design and development.

- Experience in Certification and development processes.

- Knowledge of Systems Engineering processes, including requirements management, decomposition, system modeling, integration, and testing.

- Familiarity with digital encryption schemes, with HAIPE experience being a plus.

- Skills in analyzing and allocating system architectures, requirements, and models.

- Experience in ensuring that cryptographic requirements are effectively defined and integrated into system architecture for resilient security solutions.

- Prior experience in software engineering or development for embedded platforms.

- Understanding of engineering change and configuration control processes.

- IASAE Level II certification or higher (CASP+ CE, CISSP, CSSLP).

- Proficiency with Agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA, VersionOne).

- Experience in developing security architecture representations and system design modeling.

- Skills in performing vulnerability analysis and risk mitigation.

- Experience with real-time embedded systems development.

- Knowledge of Anti-tamper and crypto/key management practices.

- Ability to communicate technical information effectively to senior executives and customers.

- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to work in dynamic environments.
