Automation Systems Engineer

Venteon is seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join our team in Brighton, MI. As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing automation systems, including electrical, pneumatic, and PLC systems.
Responsibilities:- Design and develop hardware and software for automation systems, including electrical, pneumatic, and PLC systems.
- Develop Bills of Material for electrical designs and update them as needed.
- Coordinate with project management to ensure accurate and up-to-date drawings, manuals, and other documentation.
- Attend project kick-off meetings and provide input on electrical and fluid drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Design and develop PLC software programs and HMI screens to customer specifications.
- Provide product improvement suggestions and customer feedback to project management.
- 3-5 years of experience in controls systems engineering.
- B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- Strong familiarity with Allen Bradley, Siemens PLCs, and HMIs.
- Experience with 2D AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Electrical, with knowledge of EPLAN a plus.
- Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time, locally and in North America, including Canada and Mexico.
