JOB SCOPE AND OBJECTIVE:

Develop and optimize manufacturing workflows, tools, and fixtures to achieve daily production targets while improving efficiency and product excellence. Facilitate the transition of new products into the manufacturing environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and enhance manufacturing workflows for new products, modifications, and improvements, ensuring alignment with a zero-defect standard and cost-effectiveness.
  • Evaluate the advantages and specifications of capital equipment and prepare justifications for capital expenditures.
  • Generate and maintain precise documentation of concepts, design specifications, tool blueprints, and production orders in collaboration with Quality Assurance and Research & Development teams.
  • Conduct Installation Qualification (IQ) protocols and prepare corresponding reports.
  • Offer engineering assistance to the production team in diagnosing and resolving technical challenges.
  • Coordinate activities with external suppliers, assigned technicians, and tool room staff.
  • Plan and organize projects in alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Contribute to the company’s intellectual property portfolio through invention disclosures and patent applications.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of concepts, designs, and processes.
  • Stay informed about advancements in medical, technical, and biomedical fields relevant to company offerings.
  • Assist in the prototype and pilot production of new products, modifications, and enhancements in collaboration with Manufacturing and Quality Control teams.
  • Work alongside new product development teams to ensure manufacturability of new processes and assist in resolving issues.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices in conjunction with Document Control, R&D, and Quality Assurance teams.
  • Complete accurate and timely manufacturing documentation, including procedures and material records.
  • Support organizational goals, policies, procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory and internal policies.
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies associated with identified hazards in Process FMEA.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The individual will tackle complex issues where analysis of data or situations necessitates a thorough evaluation of various factors.

Education:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering or a related field is required.
  • A Master’s degree is preferred.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required.

Equipment Skills:

  • Proficient in using office equipment such as copiers, fax machines, calculators, and personal computers.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Capable of writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.
  • Able to present information effectively and respond to inquiries from various stakeholders.
  • Mathematical proficiency in concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and practical applications of fractions, percentages, and ratios.
  • Reasoning skills to address practical problems and interpret diverse instructions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment is typically quiet. The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, and communicate verbally. Occasional movement within and between buildings is necessary, and the employee may need to lift or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision.
