Job Summary:

The Assistant Dean and Director of Business Programs will provide academic oversight to graduate business programs, including completion of program assessments, annual reports, and program reviews. The successful candidate will also teach two courses annually in the graduate business programs and collaborate with the dean and BAS leadership and faculty to review, hire, support, and evaluate adjunct faculty.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide academic oversight to graduate business programs, including completion of program assessments, annual reports, and program reviews.
  • Teach two courses annually in the graduate business programs.
  • Collaborate with the dean and BAS leadership and faculty to review, hire, support, and evaluate adjunct faculty.
  • Facilitate the daily operation of the Division of Business and collaborate with the dean to grow the division through revised and new programming.
  • Monitor program compliance with IACBE accreditation standards, including coordination with the undergraduate business program chair, generation of the annual report, and lead the reaccreditation process.
  • Work collaboratively with graduate Admissions to coordinate and oversee recruitment of students in graduate business programs.
  • Develop external relations and community partnerships in support of business programs.
Requirements:

  • Doctorate in business or related field.
  • Strong technical knowledge in the subject areas of management, finance, and accounting.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Canvas or other web-based learning platform, and the instructional use of technology to teach traditional, hybrid, or online courses.
  • Strong presentation, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Strong management skill sets, including experience leading and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong project management skills, including all facets of project planning, implementation, and review.
Additional Information:

This is a full-time, twelve-month, exempt-level position. While normal office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., hours are flexible to the needs of the department and require occasional evening and weekend work. This is a benefits-eligible position.
