About the Role

Gandara Mental Health Center, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Assistant Program Director to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our Youth Programs in Agawam, MA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support Direct Care/Relief Workers in providing high-quality care to clients.
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment within the residence, ensuring the needs of clients are met in areas such as safety, medical, emotional, food, clothing, and shelter.
  • Develop and implement individualized Level Plan objectives under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor and Program Supervisor.
  • Provide leadership and support to shift Supervisors, promoting staff development and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Act as a client advocate, providing appropriate responses to emergency situations and developing strong, supportive relationships with clients.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Social Work, or Psychology.
  • At least two years of experience in Human Services, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Exceptional writing and organizational skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license and a vehicle to transport clients or perform other supportive services as necessary.
  • Ability to pass EEC background check and meet Agency requirements for driving history records.
