Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Telemetry Technician to join our team at Select Specialty Hospital - Fort Myers. As a Telemetry Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety in our Critical Illness Recovery Hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Continuously monitor and ensure timely responses to alarms on EKG and telemetry equipment.
  • Verify accurate identification of basic and lethal rhythms, as well as artifact, and maintain EKG monitor alarms.
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to all alarms, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
  • Complete EKG interpretations, including rate, regularity, PRI, QRS, QTI, QTc, ST segment, waveform alterations, and rhythm interpretation.
  • Ensure strip interpretations are validated by a Registered Nurse.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Preferred background as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Licensed Paramedic, or RN nursing student with EKG training.
  • Ability to complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs and required competencies on education platform within 30 days of start date.
