About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Hardware Applications Engineer to join our team at NVIDIA. As a key member of our data center solutions group, you will be responsible for providing technical support and enablement to our enterprise customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create product specifications, hardware design guides, application notes, and other supporting technical collateral.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to generate hardware design collateral and provide best-in-class support to NVIDIA's enterprise customers.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including product specifications, user guides, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their system design requirements and provide guidance on platform configuration and optimization.
  • Review customer designs and provide feedback on architecture proposals, thermal, mechanical, schematic, layout, signal integrity, and other aspects.
  • Analyze data to answer customer questions, reproduce errors, resolve issues, and escalate customer concerns.
  • Perform hardware debug using oscilloscope and analyzers to qualify, validate, and solve NVIDIA products for customer systems.
  • Track, file new bugs, and reproduce issues as needed.
  • Work on resolving system integration issues related to thermal, mechanical, electrical, PCIe, and GPU interconnect interfaces, including out-of-band management services.
Requirements
  • BS or higher in EE, CE, or Systems Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in supporting enterprise data center products for x86 or ARM architecture.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience designing and operating large-scale compute infrastructure.
  • Experience using Cadence Allegro Schematic Design Entry (Concept HDL) design tools and Allegro PCB Layout.
  • Experience with using lab tools such as oscilloscope, multi-meters, and logic analyzers.
  • Background in power integrity concepts, signal integrity principles, and high-speed board design methodologies.
  • Experience working with internal cross-functional teams for successful delivery of design collateral.
  • Experience managing simultaneous projects from start to finish.
  • Previous experience as an application engineer or equivalent customer-interacting role is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and past experience in reviewing enterprise system design.
  • Understanding of x86 and ARM system architecture for server design, including BMC, security, and out-of-band management.
  • Professional-level interpersonal skills, including the ability to adjust communication to the technical level of the audience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Innate capability to accurately and succinctly communicate procedures, results, and recommendations to customers.
