FPGA Verification Engineer

HRT LLC is seeking a skilled FPGA Verification Engineer to join our team in Austin, TX.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced FPGA Verification Engineer to design, develop, and test high-performance trading systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital circuit design, verification, and testing, as well as experience with C++ and Python programming languages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain software tools in C++ and Python to monitor and control low-latency blended hardware and software trading systems.
  • Design, develop, and test production testing harnesses and processes in C++ and Python.
  • Apply and utilize advanced computational modeling and other sophisticated software engineering methods to enhance trading platforms and hardware.
  • Design, program, test, and modify field-programmable gate array (FPGA) applications software for financial trading systems.
  • Troubleshoot systems in FPGA software and hardware to resolve operational issues.
  • Utilize C++, Python, and Linux scripting programming to develop scalable data storage and distribution systems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a related position or as a Design Verification Engineer.
  • Experience developing and maintaining software tools in C++ and Python to automate parts of the engineering workflow.
  • Experience identifying root-cause issues and implementing hardware verification components.
  • Experience debugging and troubleshooting hardware design using Verdi waveform tool, software, and hardware to resolve operational issues.
  • Experience debugging failures and resolving operational issues in testbench using INDAGO debug and simulation software.
Salary Range

$135k-$185k.
