About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Registration Specialist to join our team at Abode Care Partners. As a Medical Registration Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that all patient registration forms are complete and accurate, and that all necessary information is collected and documented.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and verify patient demographic and insurance information
  • Ensure that all patient registration forms are complete and accurate
  • Coordinate with Regional Administrators to resolve any issues with patient registration
  • Provide education to patients and referral sources about ACP services and benefits
  • Creates new patient accounts and data enters pertinent patient medical history and contacts
  • Gather information and documents from patients, HIE feeds, or other EMR systems
  • Build relationships by providing friendly, timely responses about patient registration process and set expectations of next steps
  • Process incoming requests for records from patient/caregiver, payors, or other healthcare professional
  • Process provider requests for records, such as previous PCP, specialist, lab & diagnostic results, hospital or LTC records
  • Ensuring that the medical records are organized, accurate and complete
  • Communicates with other departments regarding the status of referrals
  • Maintains confidentiality of patient and proprietary information. Ensure compliance with ACP medical records policy, in accordance HIPAA policy
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent; Associate degree or some college preferred
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience collecting referral information in the healthcare market
  • Medical Assistant certification preferred, but not required
  • Experience working with all payer types, including Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance companies
  • Understands the scope of services that Abode Care Partners and BrightSpring sister companies will offer
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
