Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist/Technologist to join our team at the US Department of Health and Human Services. As a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist/Technologist, you will be responsible for operating diagnostic imaging equipment to produce high-quality images for medical diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate diagnostic imaging equipment, including X-ray machines, CT scanners, and MRI machines, to produce high-quality images for medical diagnosis and treatment.
  • Position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring accurate and safe positioning.
  • Administer contrast materials and medications as required for imaging procedures.
  • Monitor patients during imaging procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and detailed records of patient imaging procedures.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
  • Current certification as a Registered Technologist (RT) in radiography.
  • At least one year of experience as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist/Technologist.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent exposure to radiation. The selected candidate must be able to lift and move patients and equipment as needed.
