The Medical Assistant is a vital member of our healthcare team, providing support to both clinical and non-clinical functions in our service area.
Key Responsibilities- Provides safe and effective delivery of uncomplicated clinical services and tasks under the direction of a licensed healthcare provider.
- Ensures accurate and timely communication of clinical and non-clinical information to facilitate the visit process.
- Maintains a clean and sterile environment, as well as ensures proper maintenance of supplies, equipment, and instruments.
- Supports clerical functions as needed and performs other duties as assigned.
- Current registration/certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred, or military medical experience with MA certification/registration is required.
- Current CPR certification is required.
- Graduate of an approved school for Medical Assistants is required, with one to two years of experience in a related healthcare field preferred.
Expected to work in a patient care environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards, such as excessive noise, dust, or extremes in temperatures.
Exposure to communicable diseases and moderately adverse working conditions can be expected due to the need to perform certain patient care activities.
