Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled General Manager to join our team at North Fork Table & Inn, a renowned New American restaurant located in a historic countryside house. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our front-of-house and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain service standards, floor leadership, and profitability of the business unit.
- Manage day-to-day operations, including decision-making, employee support, guest interaction, scheduling, payroll, and planning.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy facility environment by enforcing sanitation standards and procedures.
- Oversee disciplinary action related to employees and liaise with HR Director in making personnel decisions.
- Review schedules and payroll, track employee performance, and provide excellent service to VIP guests.
- Prepare and execute daily pre-shifts, review daily minutes from service, and create plans for growth and improvement.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-4+ years of relevant experience working as a General Manager or similar capacity in a high-volume upscale, fine dining restaurant or luxury restaurant.
- Excellent financial acumen and ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Open availability and certification in NYC Food Protection License.
