Role Overview:

The Senior Operator plays a pivotal role in our production environment, tackling complex challenges and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This position is integral to our team, stepping in as needed and mentoring new employees while ensuring operational excellence across all production lines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all operators are properly setting up machinery at the start and end of shifts.
  • Oversee initial quality checks for various production processes, including moisture assessments.
  • Coordinate with Quality Assurance to confirm readiness for production evaluations.
  • Facilitate changeovers, train new staff, and implement process enhancements.
  • Verify that all team members are adequately trained and fulfilling their roles effectively.
  • Operate all production lines, including Packaging, Wet, and Kitchen.
  • Provide support to Processing Operators as needed.
  • Maintain flexibility in scheduling to accommodate production demands.
  • Ensure smooth operations in the absence of a Supervisor.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and surrounding areas at the end of each shift.
  • Promote a culture of safety within the workplace.
  • Interpret production schedules and reports accurately.
  • Adhere to all sanitation procedures across production areas.
  • Work independently and efficiently with minimal oversight.
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to lift specified weights.
  • Knowledge of allergen management protocols.
  • Basic proficiency in English.
  • Experience with GMP compliance.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and adjust machine settings as necessary.
  • Competence in basic math and measurement.
  • Proficiency in using basic tools and making mechanical adjustments.
  • Willingness to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to wearing all required safety equipment.
  • Exemplary adherence to Food and Safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience in a prior Packaging or Processing role within the company.
  • Minimum experience in operating machinery and troubleshooting.

Required:

  • Demonstrated leadership potential.
