Are you a detail-oriented and organized individual with a passion for quality and excellence? Do you have a strong background in production and a desire to lead a team to success? We are seeking a Senior Operator to join our pladis Global team

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify all equipment is set up and ready for production at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Run the first perfect pieces and perform evaluations for enrober machines.
  • Inform QA technicians when machines and lines are ready for evaluation.
  • Perform changeovers, coach new employees, and develop new processes in the production area.
  • Verify all personnel are fully trained and assigned to the corresponding areas.
  • Senior Operators will be expected to run all lines, including Packaging, Wet, and Kitchen.
  • Senior Operators will support all Processing Operators.
  • Expected to have flexibility in schedule for purposes of shutdowns and restarts.
  • Senior Operators will ensure all areas of production run smoothly in case of an absent Supervisor.
  • Ensure all equipment is clean at the end of each shift, along with all surrounding areas.
  • Demonstrate the ability to advocate for Safety in the workplace.
  • Able to read and understand production schedules, reports, and materials requirements.
  • Able to step into all roles within the Production department based on production needs.
  • Assure that all procedures are followed for clean areas in the company, including Kitchen, Enrobing, and Packaging.
  • Ensure all equipment is cleaned and properly put back together.
  • Able to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Follow all GMPs.
  • All other duties assigned.

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift lbs.
  • Adheres to the allergen programs.
  • Ability to read and speak basic English.
  • Adhere to all GMP programs.
  • Maintain records, communicate, and correct out-of-control machine settings.
  • Ability to make simple math calculations and measurements.
  • Ability to use basic tools efficiently and make proper mechanical adjustments.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Wear all required protective equipment.
  • Ability to follow and set a prime example for following Food and Safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Years of experience working for the company in a prior Packaging and/or Processing position.
  • Minimum year experience working with tools and troubleshooting knowledge running lines.
