As a key member of our Family and Volunteer Services department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the emotional and psychological well-being of our patients and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement evidence-based practice assessments and interventions to address the psychosocial needs of children and families.
  • Provide education and support to families, patients, and staff on child development, coping strategies, and family-centered care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote a patient-centered and family-focused approach to care.
  • Supervise and train volunteers in clinical areas to provide support and comfort to patients and families.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient and family satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Child Life or related field.
  • Professional certification (CCLS) through the Association of Child Life Professionals (ACLP).
  • Experience in pediatric healthcare setting, including completion of a child life clinical internship.
  • Strong knowledge of child development, family systems, and psychosocial impact of hospitalization on children and families.
