We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Child Psychiatric Unit on a night shift basis. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our young patients and their families.
Responsibilities- Provide nursing care using a Family Centered approach, assessing individualized patient needs and communicating care needs and priorities to assigned Unit Coordinators.
- Collaborate with Mental Health Specialists and Interdisciplinary teams to plan, implement, educate, and evaluate care using Evidence-Based Practices.
- Utilize Therapeutic Communication while monitoring the physical, psychological, and social needs of patients and families.
- Engage in the workplace community by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, understanding Quality Improvement, and representing staff at relevant meetings and then reporting important information and updates back to staff.
- Document according to organizational standards, policies, and procedures.
- Education: BSN or Associate degree with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
- Licensure: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
- Certifications: Current CPR certification required. Must be willing to obtain and maintain NRP, PALS, ACLS, APHON or other necessary certification as determined by your manager based on business unit.
