We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team at Pyramid Healthcare Inc., a renowned behavioral healthcare provider, in Newport News. Our state-of-the-art facility is committed to delivering client-centered care and establishing itself as a leader in addiction treatment in Virginia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate clients' behavioral, emotional, cognitive, spiritual, and social needs, collaborating with the treatment team to develop and progress towards treatment goals in accordance with clinical policy and CARF guidelines.
  • Facilitate all clinical services, including individual and family sessions, therapeutic groups, and referral source/outpatient provider contact.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records for clients, ensuring timely documentation of clinical services and client program engagement in ECR according to program policy.
  • Contribute to utilization review and participate in UR processes outlined in program policy.
  • Develop aftercare plans and contribute to outcome data process.
  • Collaborate in curriculum development, literature reviews, and training aligned with clinical philosophy.
  • Participate in on-call rotations as directed by supervisor and adhere to program policy.
  • Maintain a safe, orderly, and therapeutic environment for clients, including crisis intervention.

About the Role:

This position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, sound clinical judgment, and problem-solving abilities. A working knowledge of federal and state standards, as well as regulating body standards, is essential.

Qualifications:

  • LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LSATP, CSAC licensure or registered supervisee status.
  • A Master's degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, or counseling.
  • PREFERRED: experience within mental health/trauma, eating disorder, or substance use domains.
