Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our Splunk Cloud's Traffic Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and deploying software that improves the availability, performance, efficiency, and security of our services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build secure network infrastructure and services that provide a critical foundation to Splunk's Cloud SaaS platform.
  • Develop and deploy software that improves the availability, performance, efficiency, and security of our services.
  • Work with cloud providers to integrate their networking products into our ecosystem.
  • Build a control plane to scale and secure Kubernetes deployments and their networking requirements on various cloud computing platforms.
  • Commit to automation and master new technologies to help automate routine tasks and free up time for innovation.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience deploying production cloud networking and infrastructure solutions while adhering to industry-standard DevOps principles.
  • Experience handling SaaS and/or On-prem applications for a large customer base.
  • Experience with one or more of the public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Experience coding with Python/Go.
  • Experience with CICD (Gitlab, Jenkins, and others) and automation (Terraform or equivalent) technologies and tools.
  • Ability to mentor junior engineers on the team, provide technical direction, perform design/code reviews, and champion engineering best practices.
