Job Description

BAE Systems USA is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Reliability Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Enterprise Assurance Strategic Capabilities Unit, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform system-level reliability analysis and review reliability reports from internal and external suppliers.
  • Conduct electrical failure analysis, failure modes, effects, and criticality analysis (FMEA, FMECA), worst-case circuit analysis (WCCA), reliability predictions, limited life analyses (LLA), fault tree analyses (FTA), and probabilistic risk assessments.
  • Analyze electrical circuits classically and/or using SPICE.
  • Employ a strong understanding of the drivers for component and system reliability to identify potential risks to the program early in design.
  • Translate written requirements from internal and external sources into simple, straightforward requirements.
  • Investigate failures in electrical circuits.
  • Create accurate electrical reliability component parameter variation models to be entered into a database.
  • Collaborate with other reliability engineers to complete tasks and learn new subjects/techniques/software.
  • Write clear and concise reports.
  • Interface with program managers, mission assurance managers, and customers.
  • Present reliability results and program milestones at design reviews.
Requirements:
  • BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • A current, active TS/SCI security clearance is preferred.
