We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Manager to join our team at Health First Medical Group. As a Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and assessing all unit functions to ensure high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure patient and staff safety on the assigned unit.
- Promote associate accountability and competency through leadership and management practice.
- Provide input for annual performance appraisals and competency checklists for personnel on assigned shift.
- Interview and participate in the selection of new personnel for the unit.
- Assist with and participate in the development of policies, procedures, and standards of care for the unit.
- Ensure adequate training and appropriate use of the electronic medical record.
- Counsel and discipline associates as necessary.
- Encourage associate growth and development through mentorship and goal setting.
- Responsible for scheduling and assigning personnel on assigned shift to ensure safe, adequate, and appropriate staffing for the unit.
- Assist with implementation of unit-based performance improvement activities.
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
- BSN required or conditional waiver for BSN requirement may apply.
- Current Florida RN license or endorsement.
- AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card.
- National certification in relevant specialty or in Nurse Administration preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years acute care clinical experience preferred.
- Previous nursing management experience preferred.
The Nurse Manager will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, requiring strong organizational and communication skills. The ability to multitask and prioritize tasks is essential.
