Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Manager to join our team at Health First Medical Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, directing, and assessing all unit functions to ensure high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality/No Harm: Ensure patient and staff safety on the assigned unit, promote associate accountability and competency, and provide input for annual performance appraisals and competency checklists.
  • Stewardship: Assist in the development of the annual budget for the unit, monitor and ensure compliance with staffing guidelines, and communicate unit, staff, and equipment needs to the Manager/Director.
  • Customer Experience: Support engagement through adherence to the I?CARE commitments and Health First Philosophy, consistently display and hold associates accountable for the elements of good service, and facilitate communication and problem-solving with team members, physicians, and administrative personnel.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing, BSN required or conditional waiver for BSN requirement may apply to internal associates who complete their BSN within 3 years of transition to new role.
  • Licensure: Current Florida RN license or endorsement.
  • Certification: Must hold current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to start date and maintain, national certification in relevant specialty or in Nurse Administration preferred.
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years acute care clinical experience preferred, previous nursing management experience preferred.
Physical and Mental Demands

The successful candidate must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for 90% of assigned shift, have visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform clinical tasks, and be able to lift, push, or move equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to display and promote elements of good service, listen well and analyze needs from various ages and levels of education, access, interpret data and educate members of the healthcare team, patients, and significant others of various ages, and respond appropriately to life-threatening & stressful situations.
