Key Responsibilities:
Program Overview

Youth Villages' Residential Treatment initiatives cater to children facing emotional and behavioral challenges.

Our residential facilities create an environment conducive to an intensive treatment program that strikes a unique balance between structure and freedom.

This approach empowers children and their families to recognize, comprehend, and address their specific needs while developing the skills essential for success in less restrictive environments.

The majority of these youths attend fully accredited educational institutions located within our residential treatment facilities.

Role Overview

- Engage in training and professional development activities

- Support Licensed Educators in classroom activities and material preparation

- Assist with academic assessments

- Provide individualized tutoring to students or small groups

- Participate in community engagement activities and group outings

- Involve in experiential learning opportunities

- Execute tasks to assist Licensed Educators and respond to requests from the Principal and Director of Education

- Additional essential duties may be assigned as required

Additional Information

The supervision and support of youth necessitate extended periods of walking and standing, along with physical agility. Candidates may be required to run and navigate multiple flights of stairs. Participation in physical interventions with youth may be necessary. Frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 50 pounds is expected, with occasional lifting of more than 100 pounds. Completion of Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) and CPR training is mandatory.

Applicants must successfully pass an agility and strength assessment.

A valid driver's license is required.

Our small class sizes facilitate more personalized attention to each student's educational needs, typically ranging from 8 to 15 children per class.

We offer tuition and licensure reimbursement, along with training opportunities for career advancement.

Our educational programs operate year-round.

Qualifications:
Requirements

- Positions available for both degreed and non-degreed candidates.

- Experience in an educational setting is essential.

- Preference for candidates with experience teaching high school students.

- Experience working with children exhibiting severe emotional and behavioral challenges is advantageous.

- Work schedules may vary by campus.

Residential Centers:
- Sun-Wed or Wed-Sat 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Residential Campuses:
- M-F 6:15 AM - 2:30 PM

Compensation:
- $22/hour
