About the Role

This position is responsible for providing academic, social, physical, and skills development for students in specific grades/subject areas to prepare them to be successful citizens and workers in the 21st century.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement professional instructions to meet the needs of students in specific grades/subject areas.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes social, physical, and emotional growth.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other educational staff to ensure a cohesive and effective educational program.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies to meet the needs of individual students.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a smooth and successful educational experience.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate's Degree, or two (2) years of college (minimum of 48 semester hours) from an accredited institution, or a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment Test.
  • One (1) year of experience working with children in an educational setting preferred.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain certification in CPR and First Aid.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Education or a related field.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations and developing culturally responsive instructional strategies.
  • Knowledge of educational technology and its application in the classroom.
