We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team at Meridian Services. As a Direct Support Professional, you will work with individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and mental health diagnoses in their home in Anoka, MN.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement tailored outcomes with each person in the home, focusing on skills such as budgeting, behavioral management, community exploration, meal planning, and physical fitness.
- Provide guidance and instructional teaching to individuals while building life skills, including personal cares, cleaning, cooking, and medication administration.
- Supervise and transport individuals in the community on activities and appointments, utilizing a company vehicle or personal vehicle as needed.
- Be at least 21 years of age for the Riverside SLS program per DHS Licensing.
- Have a vehicle with current car insurance and an acceptable driving record as determined by Meridian Services policy.
- Successfully clear a DHS background study.
- Ability to complete personal cares and experience working with autism or mental health diagnoses, as well as physical and verbal aggressions and manual restraints.
