We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pretrial Services Specialist to join our team at the Administrative Office of the Courts in Louisville, KY.
About the Role:The Pretrial Services Specialist will be responsible for interviewing defendants in jail, completing required assessments, and making recommendations to trial courts for pretrial release with supervision and diversion. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct interviews with defendants in jail to gather information and assess their suitability for pretrial release.
- Complete required assessments and make recommendations to trial courts for pretrial release with supervision and diversion.
- Monitor compliance with conditions of release and diversion programs.
- Prepare detailed written reports and statistics for monthly reports.
- Broker community resources for diversion and conditional release.
- Appear in court as needed to provide information and support.
- Bachelor's Degree
- No prior experience required, but Associates Degree with 2 years of job-related experience or High School Degree with 4 years of job-related experience is preferred.
- Must be able to pass FBI clearance to obtain NCIC certification.
- Must be able to work in a detention center and maintain NCIC certification.
