Job Summary:

Lead IT Projects at the State of Oregon

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead various strategic projects and initiatives that align with the agency's goals. As a senior-level contributor, you will independently provide portfolio reporting and project guidance, and assist managers in strategic planning.

About the Role:

  • Manage multiple concurrent IT projects from initiation to closure.
  • Develop detailed project schedules and project management deliverables.
  • Track and monitor team member assigned tasks and progress.
  • Manage project risks and issues, and ensure compliance with oversight and defined processes.
  • Provide project status reports to steering committees and leadership.
  • Perform contract management duties and manage project scope, schedule, or budget changes.

Requirements:

Six (6) years of information systems experience managing projects at the advanced level for multiple medium to large-sized projects or systems.

OR

An associate's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field AND four (4) years of information systems experience managing projects at the advanced level for multiple medium to large-sized projects or systems.

OR

A bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field AND two (2) years of information systems experience managing projects at the advanced level for multiple medium to large-sized projects or systems.

OR

Master's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field may substitute for all of the above.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience organizing and leading multiple concurrent complex IT projects.
  • Able to elicit information from team members to decompose critical project activities.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • PROSCI or similar change management credential preferred.
  • Experienced using Waterfall and Agile/Scrum methodology.
