Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Service Writer to act as the primary liaison between our customers and the service department. This role is essential in ensuring exceptional customer service and driving business growth within our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the main point of contact for customers, fostering strong relationships through effective communication.
  • Assess customer needs, collect relevant information, and initiate work orders; provide estimates, develop claims, prepare repair strategies, schedule tasks, and keep customers informed about the status of their repairs.
  • Create detailed work orders that include diagnostic plans, quotes, and repair strategies, while collaborating with the Service Supervisor/Team Lead before engaging with customers.
  • Coordinate with the Service Supervisor and/or Team Lead to allocate job assignments efficiently.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with key clients; address customer inquiries regarding warranties and clarify charges.
  • Monitor essential performance metrics for the service department, focusing on labor efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Essential Skills
  • Strong customer interaction abilities.
  • Experience in automotive dealerships or related fields.
  • Proficient in computer systems.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service or automotive repair sales.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
