Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic and vascular procedures on patients using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structures.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain patient history and explain routine procedures to patients
- Perform all ultrasound techniques and examinations, including abdominal scans, retroperitoneal scans, limited obstetric and gynecological scans, and a variety of tests
- Maintain patient records and files
- Support and report any identified compliance matters
- Participate in hospital and department quality assurance programs
- Graduate from a school accredited of Radiologic Technology, OR Graduate of AMA Accredited Sonography Program, OR Graduate of accredited School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography and/or equivalent clinical experience
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Sonography (S) within in 1 year of employment OR, Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) within one year of employment, OR Registered Vascular Technician within 12 months
- State of Kentucky License, if applicable
- Two specialty areas required (i.e. abdomen, vascular, OBGYN)
- BLS within 30 days of employment
This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer must be able to work independently and as part of a team. The position requires standing for long periods, lifting, and bending.
