As a Credit Analyst at Columbia Sportswear, you will play a pivotal role in managing the new account process for our diverse portfolio of global brands. Your expertise will be essential in overseeing credit evaluations and ensuring the financial integrity of our customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for the Credit Department during the new account setup process, collaborating closely with both internal and external sales teams.
- Coordinate the review and modification of information for new and existing accounts, while managing credit, collections, and reporting for specific regions or account subsets.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the credit department, focusing on process enhancements and automation for increased efficiency.

Impact on the Organization
- Analyze and process new account credit applications, financial documents, and credit reports, with the authority to approve credit limits up to $500,000.
- Collect and analyze financial statements from customers to assess their creditworthiness.
- Monitor publicly traded customers quarterly, providing insights to the Credit Manager or Director regarding any significant changes in their financial health.

Communication and Reporting
- Maintain proactive communication with potential customers to gather necessary information and clarify credit decisions.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly reports for sales management, detailing new accounts and their respective volumes to track regional growth.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in credit, collections, accounting, or finance.
- Proven experience in credit assessment and analysis, particularly with complex financial statements.
- Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of financial indicators and risk assessment.

Technical Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with SAP is highly desirable.
- Experience in implementing and assessing the effectiveness of internal controls.

Work Environment
