Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Asset Management Analyst to join our team at Costco. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of IT assets, from procurement to disposal, ensuring accurate tracking and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement asset management processes and procedures to ensure accurate tracking and inventory management.
  • Collect and interpret asset data, working closely with external teams and vendors to ensure accuracy.
  • Audit IT asset management databases for accuracy and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Develop processes and procedures to deploy IT asset management solutions.
  • Manage asset movement, data, statuses, and relationships to ensure seamless integration.
  • Review purchase orders and assist in receiving and reconciliation for asset acquisitions.
  • Assist with product stock room inventory and reconciliation.
  • Support IT project and delivery teams, providing asset oversight, guidance, and project closure and reconciliation services.
  • Assist with US and Canada IT equipment and software inventory.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in inventory management, preferably in IT.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with various departments and vendors.
  • Working knowledge of Costco finance and accounting processes.
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow/CARTS system.
  • Working knowledge of Ariba procurement system.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Experience in developing and implementing inventory control procedures.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes and vendor management.
  • Detail-oriented and demonstrates the ability to research effectively.
  • Proficient in the use of spreadsheets, word processing tools, and Costco internal financial systems.
  • Possesses excellent analytical and problem-solving and customer service skills.
  • Possesses a positive attitude, ability to work independently, and be self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Possesses the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal with vendors and at all organizational levels of Costco.
  • Willingness to take direction and coaching; excellent team interaction.
  • Good understanding of Costco Business operations.
  • Previous experience successfully managing multiple projects and tasks.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changes.
  • Willing to travel, occasionally work evenings, weekends and holidays, carry an on-call phone, and be able to provide 24 X 7 on-call support coverage.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding of ITIL and asset management industry best practices.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with asset management accounting practices.
  • Experience with relational databases and/or programming skills preferred.
