We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Counselor to join our team at ServiceNet's Prevention and Recovery Early Psychosis Program (PREP) in Holyoke, MA.
Responsibilities- Establish and oversee a therapeutic milieu at PREP, fostering a welcoming environment for young adults.
- Co-lead groups and organize activities to promote socialization and recovery.
- Work with participants to set up a clean and organized space, plan games and outings, and help them orient to PREP and its rules.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to identify and troubleshoot obstacles and provide support to participants.
- Coordinate student interns who will assist with milieu activities.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferably with a certified peer specialist or equivalent certification.
- 2 years of experience working with young adults with mental illness, preferably in a therapeutic setting.
- CPR and 1st Aid certification, TB screen (negative results), and a valid driver's license.
- Basic computer skills and reliable transportation.
- A competitive starting wage of $17.00 per hour.
