Residential Counselor I

Gandara Mental Health Center, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Counselor I to join our team. As a key member of our Youth Residential Program, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized Level Plan objectives under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor and Direct Care Supervisor.
- Accurately log all required documentation.
- Act as a staff advocate for one client.
- Meet overall program and agency goals, and provide support to management and program staff.
- Work collaboratively as a team member and serve as a positive role model for clients.
- Assist clients in carrying out daily tasks and responsibilities, including cleaning, cooking, maintenance, and laundry.
- Plan and organize recreational and social activities.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested by the Program Director or Program Supervisor.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Previous work experience in the related field dealing with youths is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a professional manner both verbally and in writing.
- Capacity to work as a team member.
