As a key member of our coatings team, you will be responsible for applying high-quality coatings to customer parts, ensuring a safe and clean work environment, and maintaining equipment and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of parts for painting, blasting, and power tool surface prep.
  • Perform power tool surface prep of parts to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Mix and apply coatings to meet customer requirements, verifying proper wet film thickness.
  • Apply SL-1 and non-SL-1 coatings to customer parts, maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Maintain stock of supplies and request restock when needed, ensuring a smooth workflow.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and professional workspace, adhering to company standards.
  • Maintain hand tools and equipment in order to keep them in safe and usable condition.
  • Process paperwork and procedures required for tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • High school degree or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years' experience applying coatings with cup type air guns and pressure pot sprayers.
  • Ability to maintain and repair coating application equipment.
  • Pass an applicator test involving application of coatings in 2-7 mil layers on various shapes and at various angles.
  • Familiarity with wet film and dry film testing methods.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work overtime.
  • Experience with applying Nuclear Grade Service Level 1 Coatings a plus.

NOTE: This position requires drug and background screening as well as maintaining respirator clearance.
