Position Overview:

This role is pivotal within our organization, focusing on resolving intricate challenges and proposing innovative enhancements. As a vital team member, you will engage in various projects and mentor new staff. Flexibility to adapt to diverse roles within the Production department is essential based on operational demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all operators are prepared for machine setup at the start and end of each shift.
  • Conduct initial quality checks on enrobing machines for various products and perform moisture assessments.
  • Notify Quality Assurance technicians when machinery and production lines are ready for initial evaluations.
  • Facilitate changeovers, mentor new team members, and develop new processes within the production area.
  • Verify that all personnel are adequately trained and assigned to their respective areas, providing support as needed.
  • Senior Operators are expected to oversee all production lines, including Packaging, Wet, and Kitchen.
  • Provide assistance to Processing Operators as required.
  • Maintain flexibility in scheduling to accommodate production shutdowns and restarts.
  • Ensure smooth operations in the absence of a Supervisor.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all equipment and surrounding areas at the end of each shift.
  • Advocate for workplace safety.
  • Interpret production schedules, reports, and material requirements effectively.
  • Adapt to various roles within the Production department as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with cleanliness procedures across all production areas.
  • Guarantee that all equipment is cleaned and reassembled properly.
  • Work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to lift specified weights.
  • Compliance with allergen management programs.
  • Basic proficiency in reading and speaking English.
  • Adherence to all GMP protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records and address any machine setting discrepancies.
  • Capability to perform basic mathematical calculations and measurements.
  • Proficient use of basic tools and mechanical adjustments.
  • Willingness to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Utilization of required personal protective equipment.
  • Commitment to following and exemplifying Food and Safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience in a prior Packaging or Processing role within the company.
  • Minimum experience in tool usage and troubleshooting in production settings.
