- Insurance Carrier Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with insurance carriers to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement.
- Billing and Reimbursement Practices: Analyze and reconcile billing and reimbursement practices to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Claims Investigation: Investigate claims to identify and resolve issues, and ensure accurate and timely payment.
- Appeals and Denials: Prepare and submit appeals for denied claims, and work with insurance carriers to resolve issues.
- Collection and Follow-up: Follow up with patients and insurance carriers to ensure timely payment and resolve any issues.
- Medical Office Administration: Provide administrative support to the medical office, including data entry, filing, and other tasks as needed.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years medical billing experience.
- Knowledge and Skills: Proficiency in medical billing software, superior organizational and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
