Cardiac Nuclear Medicine Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic procedures in the field of Nuclear Medicine in the outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities- Administer radiopharmaceuticals and operate highly technical instruments to acquire data.
- Analyze images and evaluate for correctness, ensuring accurate results for physicians.
- Use RIS, CIS, SMS, and PACS systems to generate proper documentation and complete orders with accurate charges.
- Collaborate with physicians to ensure patient care and safety.
- Perform quality control reviews and ensure proper handling and disposal of radiopharmaceuticals.
- Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
- Registered as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the American Registry of Radiological Sciences or registry eligible and become registered within one (1) year from date of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
This position is employed by UNC Health Care, a private, fully-owned subsidiary of UNC Health Care System. This is not a State employed position.
