Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals and operate technical instruments to produce high-quality images.
  • Analyze images and evaluate them for correctness.
  • Process films and submit them to physicians for approval.
  • Use RIS, CIS, SMS, and PACS systems to generate proper documentation and complete RIS orders with accurate charges.
  • Arrange transportation of inpatients to and from the Nuclear Medicine department.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
  • Registered as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or registry eligible and become registered within one (1) year from date of hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
Work Environment

This position is employed by NC Health (Rex Healthcare, Inc., d/b/a NC Health), a private, fully-owned subsidiary of UNC Health Care System. This is not a State employed position.
