Job Overview

Bristol Bay Construction Holdings LLC (BBCH) is expanding its operations and is in search of a skilled Construction Superintendent. This position is pivotal in overseeing project schedules, managing subcontractors, and ensuring effective communication with clients and site personnel. The role also emphasizes safety management, compliance assurance, and conducting thorough site assessments.

Compensation:

$110,000 - $130,000 annually

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure high-quality work and adherence to contract specifications.
  • Oversee all planning, direction, coordination, and budgeting related to project activities.
  • Maintain daily communication with the Project Manager.
  • Engage with the Owner as required.
  • Coordinate daily activities among subcontractors, contractors, owners, inspectors, and authorities having jurisdiction.
  • Facilitate coordination between field staff and Quality Control Manager as well as Site Safety and Health Officer.
  • Participate in pre-construction and pre-work meetings, including three-phase inspections.
  • Organize weekly subcontractor coordination meetings.
  • Attend and contribute to weekly meetings with the Owner.
  • Review and understand the subcontractor's scope of work.
  • Manage all necessary coordination to complete the project scope efficiently.
  • Familiarize with the subcontractor's budget and cost structure.
  • Review and understand the Baseline Project Schedule.
  • Provide monthly input on project timelines and coordination.
  • Prepare weekly detailed look-ahead schedules.
  • Request and conduct coordination meetings as needed to support project timelines.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and the Owner for monthly progress billing.
  • Oversee quality control and safety initiatives.
  • Manage logistics including deliveries, staging, and equipment usage.
  • Ensure compliance with national and local building codes.
  • Maintain accurate daily documentation.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of five years of experience in similar roles, including building renovations and new construction.
  • Completion of OSHA 30-hour training.
  • Familiarity with Procore and RMS software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable references and background check results.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires the ability to navigate construction sites, communicate effectively with team members and clients, and maintain physical stamina for various tasks such as bending, walking, and standing for extended periods. The position involves working outdoors in varying weather conditions and may require lifting up to 35 pounds. Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be used at all times, including hard hats and steel-toed boots.

Working Environment:

The job entails a mix of office and outdoor site work. The office environment involves extensive computer use, while outdoor work includes walking and carrying supplies in all weather conditions. Exposure to construction-related hazards may occur.
