Role Overview:
We are looking for an Underground Telecommunications Construction Foreman to oversee and manage the activities of construction teams. This role involves inspecting work progress, ensuring safety compliance, and verifying that all specifications are adhered to.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction technicians.
- Interpret blueprints to ascertain construction requirements and devise procedures.
- Monitor work progress, equipment, and construction sites to ensure safety and compliance with specifications.
- Identify, measure, and mark site locations for structures and equipment using appropriate tools.
- Collaborate with other project activities to ensure seamless operations.
- Delegate tasks to crews based on job requirements.
- Estimate material and labor needs for project completion.
- Engage with managerial and technical personnel to resolve issues and coordinate efforts.
- Procure materials and supplies as needed.
- Analyze production challenges and propose improvements or motivational strategies.
- Train team members on construction techniques, equipment operation, safety protocols, and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in underground telecommunications construction.
- Valid CDL (Class A) license.
- Strong understanding of safety standards and construction practices.
- Familiarity with trenching, duct placement, and fiber optics.
- Ability to operate various utility vehicles and equipment safely.
- High energy level, motivation, and attention to detail.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Commitment to the mission and values of TAK Communications.
- Willingness to work outside regular hours as needed.
- Physical ability to perform tasks in various conditions and terrains.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Successful completion of all pre-employment screenings.
